mission

mind dream theater is a brand-new DIY “property-less” audio theater that intends to produce brand new experimental audio plays for the most accessible of venues: our mind.

We are always on our phones and always in our minds.
What is to say either can’t be a venue?

mind dream theater intends to be an accessible and affordable path for experimental theater artists and writers to create low-stakes work that is high-imagination.

history

mind dream theater began in 2023 with its first production, Arrow of Time, an audio play turned digital-film experiment, which premiered online during The Exponential Festival. Listen here. Arrow of Time went on to be accepted in the 2024 New York City Indie Theater Film Festival. Script available for purchase from 1319 Press

In 2024, we released Jerrod Jordahl’s Monologues for Nobody, to an over-capacity release event. Listen here. The response was overwhelming, both to the beauty of the piece and the experience of communally listening together.

Now, mind dream theater is working on the development of a new yearly flagship show that will showcase the experimental writing of theater artists in an episodic format.
